A standard item can move straight through checkout. A request can collect the details first, then keep its quote, deposit, balance, and payment status connected to the same sale.

Yes, for now. Accounts created before December 1, 2026 can use BakeBug free through December 31, 2026, with no credit card. Accounts created on or after December 1 may get a 30-day trial (60 days for an eligible referral) that needs a payment method at checkout. Paid plans start January 1, 2027. Check the current terms before registering.
BakeBug lists $4.99/month or $49.90/year beginning January 1, 2027. Confita is $49/year or $9.99/month, so the annual plans are close in price. Choose on the workflow and storefront control you want to keep.
BakeBug is web-based: customers order from its online storefront and sellers work in a browser dashboard. We found no BakeBug app in the App Store on October 21, 2026. Confita also runs in the browser on any phone, tablet, or computer, so neither needs a download to start.
BakeBug says it is available for bakeries in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia. Confita storefronts run in English and Spanish; card payments depend on Square or Stripe supporting your country, so check that before you set up either tool.
