BakeBug or Confita?

BakeBug is a lightweight ordering tool with SMS support. Confita gives you a complete storefront and a more flexible path from product discovery to payment.

Choose the setup that fits

Choose BakeBug if…

a simple ordering setup and SMS are the point.

  • SMS is central to how you contact customers.
  • The current free-period offer is your main reason for comparing.
  • Packing slips and a lightweight dashboard cover the work you need.
The difference

Same browser link. Different order handoff.

The current price is not the only decision. The customer information and the work that follows matter more once the free period ends.

What Confita keeps connected

One shop for quick checkout and the orders that need more care

A standard item can move straight through checkout. A request can collect the details first, then keep its quote, deposit, balance, and payment status connected to the same sale.

That is a clearer starting point than rebuilding either kind of order from a message.

Before you choose
Is BakeBug really free?

Eligible signups before December 1, 2026 can use BakeBug free through December 31, 2026. Signups after December 1 enter a 30-day trial. Check the current terms before registering.

What changes in 2027?

BakeBug lists $4.99/month or $49.90/year beginning January 1, 2027. Confita is $49/year or $9.99/month, so the annual plans are close in price. Choose on the workflow and storefront control you want to keep.

Does BakeBug support custom orders?

Yes. BakeBug documents custom products, quotes, and payment schedules. Confita’s difference is the product-level intake: questions and reference photos arrive before the quote.

Does BakeBug use Square?

Yes. BakeBug supports Square for integrated card payments. Confita also connects existing Square seller accounts and adds Stripe as another integrated option. Both support manual methods; compare the surrounding quote, schedule, design, and dashboard workflow.

Which is better for weekly drops?

Confita is the stronger fit if you need product limits, cutoffs, pickup windows, and a drop-specific order flow. BakeBug is a better fit if calendar availability and broader order management matter more.
